2020 was quite challenging for any business, particularly for the financial sector. Consumption dropped, and measures introduced to reduce the spread of Covid-19 prevented people from visiting bank offices, signing agreements and opening bank accounts. Physical contact at bank offices was replaced overnight by digital contact on social media, web portals and various sorts of platforms so advertising budgets were redirected to digital communication channels. Our client was quick to respond, adjust its marketing plan and set new targets: increase brand awareness, reach and target group engagement through digital channels to promote the bank’s new products, keep in touch with potential customers (repeating exposure), increase the number of quality website visits (SEO advertising), collect sales leads, drive sales, and award loyalty.

THE WAY WE ADVERTISED

We carefully analysed our target groups and created a thorough strategy. After analysing the algorithms on various platforms, we polished our short videos and visuals on a daily basis (to see which creative solutions result in the best conversion rate). We chose our touch points based on a large number of data (the best time to place each ad, on each platform, and for each target group). Accordingly, we optimised our campaigns on social media, WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger, Google, YouTube, and on a network of web portals. Our results at the end of the year were the best in the business branch.

HIGH ADVERTISING EFFECTIVENESS AND COST-EFFICIENCY

These are the results of the advertising campaigns we implemented on digital and social media in 2020: 334% higher number of website users and website sessions (420,000 new website visits with 3.5 page views per visit); 477% higher number of website views; 98.5% advertising efficiency; 1.5% website bounce rate. 30% of all Google searches in BiH led to our client's website (a bank) and 50% of visitors were between the ages of 25 and 45 (primary target group). In terms of TV ad campaigns, the bank ranked FOURTH, and in terms of budget spent, it ranked eight (its strategy was better in comparison with competitors). We achieved 3x higher number of video views on YouTube in comparison with competitors.
